Bugs – Bugs everywhere

bugs

Computer bugs are everywhere and they can appear at any time. Some can be hardware or software related. Once the issues have been diagnosed only then can a remedy be applied.  Today I am going over what is a bug and what it means to you?

A bug is an unexpected problem with hardware or software. Bugs are usually crashes that stop a devices operation. Any electronic devices are susceptible to problems. Anything from cell phones, computers, to software programs. Software related errors are more in tuned with the programming aspect.  Hardware related errors can occur from compatibility issues and missing drivers.

There is no such thing as bug-free program. If you’ve played a video game then yes, you have seen a bug. When bugs are discovered, software bugs are fixed by installing patches and hardware bugs are fixed with updates or drivers. For example Microsoft releases updates on a daily basis to fix problems.

Last words & how you can help!!

Hardware bugs are often fixed by replacing the hardware device. Some problems are simple to fix while others can take years to address. Sometimes they may never be fixed. How you can help is to submit a bug report. Most companies have programmers on hand to fix & address future bugs. This is one of the best ways to make programs run better and efficiently.

What is the difference between an error and bug?

An error is a message shown to the user of a program, and a bug is a problem in the code that is causing the error to be shown.
